Clare brings a wealth of experience and leadership to Wellman Cars, overseeing operations with a strong focus on service quality and community values. As Managing Director, she ensures the business runs with professionalism, care, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. Clare’s hands-on approach and passion for people are at the heart of the company’s trusted reputation.

Blake plays a key role in the day-to-day running of Wellman Cars, managing operations to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. From coordinating drivers to supporting customers, Blake’s energy and attention to detail help deliver the high standards that customers have come to expect. He’s dedicated to improving services and enhancing the rider experience.

Frank Welsh worked as a postman in Hamilton for eight years before joining Well-Man Cars. He began as a part-time taxi driver with Well-Man Cars in 1992 and drove for 13 years. At the suggestion of his wife Clare, he then moved into the office team, where he managed the drivers, fitted the old taxi radios, and gained some computer skills along the way. On a fun note, the most famous person he has ever driven was Lorraine Kelly.

Flyn started in 2022 and has been working part-time while studying for a degree at the University of Glasgow. He really enjoys being able to interact with so many people throughout the community in a positive and meaningful way, while providing an excellent service.

Carol-Ann, also known as Caz, has been a controller for almost 30 years and joined Well-Man Cars during the merger with Bridge Cars, so she has only been with the company for a short time. The transition felt daunting at first, however, thanks to the warm welcome from the team, she now feels part of the family, as if she’s always been there.

Karen started in December 2024, after the merger with Bridge Cars. She really enjoys learning the system, and having worked alone before, finds it really nice to now have company and teamwork.

Morgan started working at Wellman Cars at the age of 16 and has watched the company flourish and grow over the past seven years. Her favourite thing about Wellman is how community-oriented the team is. Clare is always organising events and coming up with ideas to bring the community closer together, and as a student paramedic, Morgan is proud to be part of this.

Paul has worked in the taxi industry for about 18 years, and according to him one of the great things about working at Wellman Cars is the flexibility to work from home, allowing him to fit work around his family life.

Rachel started with us back in 2022. She is currently studying full-time and fits in working around her studying. Rachel is always upbeat and friendly, a fantastic member of our team.

Dawn joined Wellman Cars in 2022 after graduating from University. She enjoys engaging with members of the community by organising our charitable donations, whether that's supporting School fairs, fundraisers or other local initiatives. She helps Clare a great deal with admin and accounts and is the spreadsheet Queen of the team.

Savannah Welsh is our Marketing and Social Media lead. Currently in her fourth year at university studying Business Marketing, she balances her studies with managing our social channels. Savannah brings fresh energy and creativity, ensuring our online presence stays engaging and forward-thinking.
