About Us
Wellman Cars is a family run business which was established in 1988. Since then we have grown from 10 drivers to a steady 150 part-time/full-time drivers at present. This makes us the largest private hire company in Hamilton, with our base at Hillhouse Industrial Estate, Hamilton.
In March 2019 we were honoured to receive to receive the 'Family Business of the Year' and 'Staff Member of the Year' at the Scottish Taxi & Private Hire Awards. We followed this up in 2020 winning the 'outstanding achievement' award!
In November 2021 we won our first UK-wide award in the Taxi Summit Awards. We won the Scottish Taxi Company of the Year.

Our Services
People Carriers
We have cars available that seat 6-8 people as well as our usual 4 seaters. We highly recommend pre-booking any people carrier vehicle (6, 7 or 8 seaters) as these vehicles can become very busy at peak times.
Airport Transfers
We specialise in transfers to and from all major Scottish Airports, whether it's for the holiday maker or business traveller.
All of our vehicles are of a high standard and are well maintained and our drivers are helpful and experienced. Our office staff are on hand 24 hours a day and constantly reviewing flight information to ensure your driver is there to meet you when you arrive back in the UK.

Pet Cars
We offer a limited number of pet friendly vehicles within our fleet. Pet cars are subject to availability at the time of booking.
At the time of booking you will need to inform us that you will require a pet friendly car, as well as tell us what kind of pet you have.
